Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Mini Bars Recalled for Undeclared Wheat
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc. is voluntarily recalling a limited number of its Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars because the product may contain undeclared wheat, according to a company announcement posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall affects 6-count packages of Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars with batch code LLA519501 and a Best By date of January 31, 2027. The affected products were shipped to Kroger and Giant Eagle stores in multiple states.
- Kroger: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NM, OH, OR, SC, TN, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY
- Giant Eagle: IN, MD, OH, PA, WV

No other Häagen-Dazs products or batches are impacted, and no illnesses or injuries have been reported. The company said the issue may have occurred when products containing wheat were mistakenly placed into packaging that did not list wheat as an ingredient.
Consumers with wheat allergies or sensitivities are urged not to consume the affected product and instead dispose of it or return it to the store for a full refund.
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream said it is cooperating with the FDA in the recall and emphasized that “the safety, quality, and integrity of our products remain our number one priority.”

First and Last Bakery Recalls Pasta Sauces Over Botulism Risk
First and Last Bakery, LLC of Hartford, Connecticut, is recalling several varieties of its pasta sauces because the products were manufactured without an approved process, posing a potential Clostridium botulinum hazard, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall includes the following 26-ounce jars distributed in Connecticut and Massachusetts through Big Y and possibly other retailers between September 22 and October 28, 2025:
- First and Last Original Marinara Sauce, Tomato & Basil
- First and Last Original Traditional Pasta Sauce, Meat Flavored
- First and Last Original Puttanesca Sauce, Mildly Hot & Spicy
All affected products have a Use By date of 09/26.
The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection identified the potential health risk. The sauces were produced without an approved scheduled process, which is necessary to ensure the safety of acidified or low-acid canned foods. Without proper processing, these products could allow the growth of Clostridium botulinum, the bacterium that causes botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning.
Symptoms of botulism may include weakness, dizziness, double vision, difficulty speaking or swallowing, abdominal distension, and constipation. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should seek immediate medical attention.
No illnesses have been reported, and production has been suspended while the company works to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Consumers who purchased the affected sauces are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
